Easter

Easter is a special and magic holiday. Children were excited talking about Mr Bunny, wondering if Mr Bunny would come, singing Easter songs and preparing their baskets for our traditional Egg hunt.
Well, as you may know, Mr Bunny came to St Francis and left a bunch of chocolate eggs for our Alpha children, and they had loads of fun!

make believe

The Magic of Make Believe

Imaginative play is an essential ingredient for a happy childhood. Children who are encouraged to pretend are more expressive, empathetic, socially developed and they may continue to be creative as adults.

Alpha children have the opportunity to explore different kinds of role play activities throughout the year such as role playing songs, in the home corner, during playground, sandpit and with the big blue blocks.

Playing make-believe games with your kids is a way to keep the sense of magic and imagination alive. Enjoy this time of their development in which they emerge into the dramatic play intensely.

Here are some pictures of them enjoying
some of these moments!

Jigsaw puzzles

Jigsaw Puzzles for Alpha children

There are many benefits of solving a jigsaw puzzle, such as enhancing  hand-eye coordination, developing gross and fine motor skills, as well as working on cognitive
and problem solving skills.

It is important to know that children develop those skills specially when working with
real jigsaw puzzles, therefore it is not advisable that they explore them only on
Ipads and other technological devices.

In Alpha classrooms, we have many options that vary from fitting into slots up to
20 piece jigsaw puzzles.
